Re: Pizza toppings
I'm of the opinion that pizza is the perfect "every" meal. It all comes down to what you want to throw on it - be it a breakfast pizza with bacon, eggs and sausage, a lunch pizza with a little bit of everything, or specific niches such as a vegetarian/meat lover's pizza.
I never will acquire the taste of throwing veggies on a pizza though. Too many other opportunities to eat a little bit of greens in the yearly diet, load me up with a bunch of meats that would never be good together anywhere else but on saucy, cheesy dough.Cthulhu for president! Why settle for the lesser evil?Comment

Re: Pizza toppings
Several years ago ( late 80's ) , one of the chain pizza places here in town , used to have a really good lunch buffet.
They would put apple , peach , cherry , and sometimes chocolate pie filling on the dough and bake that as dessert pizzas."The Serenity Prayer" . . .
God grant me the serenity to accept stupid people , the courage to not waste my time and energy on them , and the wisdom to know that I cannot fix STUPID .Comment

Re: Pizza toppings
This thread got me hungry for pizza. So I picked up a pie on the way home from work last night, had everything on it. This morning I decided to try putting eggs on it with my left overs. I scrambled some eggs up in a Pyrex cup in the microwave. Then I put them on top of my cold pizza. It was delicious. The egg and sausage combo with the peppers and onions. Oh yeah it was great combo.Comment

Re: Pizza toppings
Made our own avocardo and prawn pizza for dinner last night, absolutly delicious! Dab of sweet chili sauce for the tang and some anchovies for the salt. Wash it down with a few bottles of home brew and thats may definition of a great Sunday night. At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.Comment
