    Retiring

    I posted this message on the business talk, but I would like to add, that I am thankful for the assistance this site provides.
    I may not have been very active of late, but checking mostly provided an answer. As a tech that works in areas remote from the base, (4 hours drive) this site has been a great help.
    Thanks for that support.


    I have posted here before, but now the time has come to hang up the tools.
    I started as a typewriter mechanic in 1965, and (except for 3 years) have been in this industry since.
    Seen many changes, mostly positive, and certainly would not like to go back to the 'good old days'.
    I'm sure to miss the challenges, but may find another way to pass the time.

    All the best to you, as fellow techs. May your customers be kind to you.

      Thanks for thinking of us John. Continue to come back to visit. Surely all that knowledge would be wasted in retirement. Share it with us. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Best of luck to you in your new full time job of doing what you want. Be sure to visit us here often. If you get bored I'm sure someone will have a problem or two that can get the brain cells working again.

                      Good luck with whatever you find to fill your time, please come back, even if it's just to socialise, it's a great site with incredible members, I visit every day, even if I rarely need assistance

                          Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

                                          The time has come. Its called John's time. Stop and take the time for yourself and those you love. Always glad to hear when someone can retire from the toner world. Wish you the best.

                                                      Congratulations John! In a few months all the toner will be gone from under your skin and nails! Hope you have hobbies/projects/family to keep you busy. Also hope you can just sit in the sun for a bit if you feel like it. I hope to follow in your footsteps in a little over a year.......

                                                          Cheers John, we're all jealous!! Do log in sometime and tell us how long it is before you finally get the toner out from under your finger nails.
