Or lack of
Had to do a pm on a Kyocera Km 4550ci.
I looked for the cassette tyres since they dont usually come in the PM Kits.
While browsing the parts list i noticed The KM 4550 takes different tyres from the 3550 series which is a bit unusual.
The 4550 has three tyres per tray all the same parts number, one good point, order six and your done for the basic machine
The KM3550 has different tyres, ie 2xPickup 2xFeed 2Xretard or so they call it.
The additional paper cassette a PF730 has different tyres again 2XFeed 2Pickup 2retard.
The bad point regarding the PF 730 is the tyres all look pretty similar and if they are supplied loose ie not in a sealed bag with the part number on its not clear which tyre goes where.
Another irritating point was the fact the pickup assemblies are different on the machine as opposed to the paper trays.
All in all about 4 megatives and one positive.
I work mainly on Canon and they have had three tyres that havent changed part numbers in years you have a black tyre, a grey tyre and a small grey tyre, also the pickup assemblies are all interchangeable between the machine and the optional casettes.
Why complicate things so much?
