If they win we will be hearing about it for the next 34 years, just like when they won the Olympic gold for mens hockey in 1980. lol
No offence meant so don't hate me.

It does make a good movie though, even 35 years later, I can still watch and enjoy "miracle". Wouldn't be the same watching some basketball movie. Emujo

At this level of world competition just getting out of the group stages means any team is already a winner.
It's a bit like the olympic games. You hear the whingers of how bad this or that person or team is during the games.
Everybody appears to forget that each person or team in the Olympic games is already the best in their country foremost.

Well done USA... Still reckon the Aussies would have beat ya....

I must admit, I have hardly watched anything of the world cup. I am off tomorrow, though, to Silverstone, for the British Grand Prix this weekend, if anyone is watching it, I'll be in the Club grandstand, at the last corner...look out for me on TV I should have a brilliant view, overlooking the start/finish straight and looking directly at the podium. I have been packing up my camping gear, now, if anyone could tell me in which parallel universe I safely stored the tent I wanted to use this weekend in, I would be very grateful LOL

I'm dead jealous Debs, I tried to get to the British GP when I was in the UK last year but couldn't quite justify the money that Bernie wanted just to sit on the grass. He wanted 70 quid just to park the car. Mrs Lagonda would have said a word or two when she went through the credit card statements on return to OZ and discovered that I'd spent $600 Oz dollars on watching cars go around in circles. (Mind you if she had chance she would have spent more then that on tickets to center court at Wimbledon)

Cheer young Daniel on for us, Its nice to watch him show that little German runt how to drive.

But I wouldn't be exactly correct calling Gran Prix racing "Going round in circles".

OK, I'll come clean! Mrs Lagonda is a bigger petrol head then I am, I'd be well and truly in the poo if i'd gone to the British GP without her. I did say "no" to her once and the scars have only just healed.
