    Chess

Anyone enjoy playing chess? You can play online at a # of web sites. I play at chess.com. You can play 10 minute games. 30 minutes, 1day, 3 days. Etc. I think it is the most fantastic game of all time. Goes back thousands of years. Started in India I think? They found chess pieces on Greenland that date back a thousand years. Viking type king, rook, knight, etc. you have to register but it,s free. People from all over the world play. There is a chat feature and you can talk with your opponent if you like. Everyone know,s the English language. I played people in just about every country. You can play chess in any language. So sign up and send me a challenge. My chess name is waldojones.

      Re: Chess

I haven't played in a decade. I was just starting to get fairly good too. I even had a a rating (can't remember what...).
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I have a chess app on my BB Z30 and it kicks my ass regularly. I still enjoy playing though.

            Re: Chess

I played for a little while when I was in high school. But I lost interest in playing when I started getting clobbered by people who had merely memorized certain gambits. Also, I was a mediocre player at best.
When I was probably in the Reserves I found chess fun to watch, although trash talk and replacing pawns with random objects as needed was allowed then. (Heh, peanut queen.)
