Re: End Users and DIY'ers
I had one in the KM forum...C360, he made it clear he was an end user, but saw something on You-Tube and thought he could do the repairs himself. I helped him out as best I could, but, of course, he wanted firmware, and how to install it. So now I have 3 categories;
1. Trained tech
2. End user
3. You tube trained tech
Emujo
1. The "trained" tech who's too lazy to work it out!
2. The "trained" tech who hasn't followed basic troubleshooting or procedures.Comment

Re: End Users and DIY'ers
I saw a bit of it when I was an active member in the SES (State Emergency Service) volunteers.
I also saw TV documentry of it happening in St VincentDePauls an other volunteer organisations.
Carer fatigue happens when you get emotionally or physically tied of repeatedly caring for other people.
It leaves you zapped of your energy an emotionally drained. Some groups of people are living breathing soul parasite's that can drain your truthful honest intent and goodwill from your very soul. Then you also have the opposite groups of people who can elevate you... You just have to do a balancing act and know when you've had your fill of both emotions.
Anyway I better stop there else I'll be off wandering in the weeds again...
FYI. Australian SES helps out after major flooding,fires, search and rescue/recovery and major road accidents...Inauguration to the "AI cancel-culture" fraternity 1997...

Also, it doesn't hurt to cut some slack to the people who don't speak English and don't understand the concept but are trying. Some places like that are in a lot more dire straights than you'd imagine. When I was probably in the Reserves, there was a humanitarian mission in Central America back in the '90s that I probably participated in several times, and it is likely I saw that there.Comment
