[Annoying] Minor pains

We just had the first shoveable snowfall here, six inches of light fluffy powder, no big deal.
But shoveling that required the use of some muscles that remain somewhat dormant for much of the year, and waking them up this fast makes them grouchy. They show their displeasure by giving me a minor backache for a few days. D'oh.

Funny! I generally don't have to do very much shoveling (my driveway is 20" long, right off a city plowed street). My major annoyance is when I take the time in the morning to shovel out the driveway, then the city comes by and plows it all right back in (and more) before I can even get the car out. =^..^=

I'm not sure....
I think it's something simliar to the those frozen cubes in a bundy-rum and coke.
That's probably the closest I'll ever get to it......

Around here it is that cold white stuff that you have drive up to one of the mountain passes to play in.

I guess it gets a little like the mountain passes here every year. Except somewhat flatter. And probably way less snow. At least that's my take from the one time I drove from here to Tacoma during January (I found that trip surprisingly unpleasant, but the view from the western side of the mountains is something to behold if you've never seen it before).

It has been a horrible winter here. We had one day when the temperature was below freezing all day! ALL DAY! Not sure how much more of this I can take.
