Mistakes you made when you were a ROOKIE (noob--whatever)
Re: Mistakes you made when you were a ROOKIE (noob--whatever)
Lanier LD118: never had one of those apart before: I replace all of the fuser components, and then when it comes time to re-assemble I put the screws holding the two sides of the fuser together on the wrong sides! It only took one time ordering an entire new unit overnight to learn my lesson: always make sure you put the screws back in where they came from.

When I first started working on copiers, I stored my tool case in the trunk of the car while on the clock, and then I brought it in the house when I was done. That ended after the second time I discovered I forgot to load the tool case in the car when I arrived at my first call, which was fifty miles away in both cases. Ever since then the tool case stays on the front passenger's side floor 24/7 unless I am using it on a service call.
Hehe, i keep a screwdriver in my toolbag one in my laptop bag another in my cars boot, just for that reason. I will instead on leaving the stuff at home or at the office leave stuff like spray cleaner and brushes and the like everywhere at the customers they are normally nice enough to phone or to keep it oneside.
