So as I stated In the opening title... I am a noob who bought a Toshiba eStudio 5540c from eBay. After driving up a dirt road I moved that heavy piece of equipment inside. It worked for 3 days... I printed maybe 7 papers... Then the HDD crashed. So I decided to out smart the smarts of the copier. And after reading a couple pages of the service manual. I formatted the HDD. To never be turned back to working from there on. ( I removed the HDD disk from the HDD case. So now I am doing my research trying to find the master data software for the HDD replacement install.So yep that is this guy who did all that!

I hope you didn't pay much for it. It's on the verge of obsolescence. To you, that means that consumable parts are not going to be available in the near future.
What code did you get for the HDD failure? Sometimes they are recoverable, sometimes not.

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
