    Hi, I'm Artefil (france)

    Hi,
Well quite everything is in the title. My surname Artefil and location, more precisely Langeais, Centre Val de Loire, for non-french it's in the Loire Valley.
It's a small town less than 3,000 citizens, rural landscape, not so far from Tours (30 km).
After spending the most of my life in electronics (T&M) I created a small company for refurbishing and repairing computer & electronics spare parts.
I'm not completely a newbie in printing, I've patented (worldwide) a new kind of printer in 2001, it's a long time ago. I should have done things differently, but i'm learning from my mistakes.
Today I'm selling and repairing printers, I'm the only one in my region nearly 10,000 sq. km.
I haven't prefered brand nor hated one, I'm trying to do what i'm going to be paid for, the more professionnaly as possible. Everyday (well mostly several times a day) I'm facing a new challenge, a very old printer still in use with DB25 connection working under DOS 6,22, or a printer for which it's quite impossible to find spare parts in france or even in Europe; Everyday is different, and I think it's contributing to the beauty of our job.
Actually training into the HP university, then it'll be done, I'll have to complete my certification for Seagate products and then ... I'll see.
    All the best
    Artefil

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

        Welcome 😀

The interresting part is meeting other people coming from various countries, speaking other languages, having different experiences.
The more I learn the more I realize I don't know anything.
Many thanks for offering me the opportunity having reliable team members that can help when I'll be totally lost, that could happen more often that it should.

What brands of equipment are you working on? How long have you been in the business? =^..^=

For printers mainly on : HP, Canon, Samsung (before being a part of HP), Epson, Brother, Kyocera, Dell, Lexmark
For computers (laptop & desktop) : ASUS, MSI, HP, ACER, Samsung,

Well I'm computer engineer since 1989, at the beginning specialized into credit card using Luhn modulo, my job was cracking the 4 pin code before the third attempt. I've began changing parts on computer since the first Sinclair I'd (1980), and have done some research on printers beginning in 1999. Then I've patented a printer and was invited by PMF (Pirmasens Machinen Fabrik) for presenting my printer to the worldwide Pirmasens (Germany) Printing Exhibition in 2001. I've build some machines based upon my patent, and then moved to the T&M industry for a german company, because building all the time the same machine was a little bit boring. Then I began refurbishing computer, printer and electronic parts since 2011.
If I'm considering my patent : 22 years, considering research : 24 years, considering these diploma : 34 years
