    Hello...I am two weeks into my new job...any suggestions on the best way to learn the ins and outs of fixing copiers/printers please let me know.

    Welcome. Use this forum like you already use Facebook and you'll learn a lot!
    Do not be afraid to ask questions, everybody here had a start date, so...stay whit us and read as much as possible.

      Welcome aboard and good luck with the new job. You can always buy some manuals for the machines you're working on to get the information you need. A good site for that is www.justmanuals.com

          For most of us, it was the school of hard knocks. On my second day on the job, I was handed a tool case and told "There are customers out there that have been waiting for two weeks for service. They'll just be glad to see that you're there."

          "But I have know idea what I'm doing ... "

          "They don't know that. Wing it." ... and 20 years later here I am.

          You'll get some classes along the way. The things you'll remember the best are things you have figured out for yourself. It's quite satisfying. Just pay attention, and try to learn from every situation. Once you've given it some thought, ask here. You'll get much more comprehensive answers when you show that you've done your homework.

          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
