    An old "newbie" checking in

I look forward to a new copier tech forum. I work on a lot of old analog machines and some segment 1 and 2 digitals for a missions charity that ships them around the world. We just shipped a Canon 2120 to Haiti yesterday. Before you guys go nuts over my sending out such a dinosaur, let me remind you that old technology is usually better than new in the 3rd world. And simpler is better than more complex!

Fluctuating line voltage is more typical than not, for example. Generator power is notoriously unstable!

We just finished prepping some Riso GR2700's for Mali today (that's in west Africa ) Once again, old but proven technology. Do any of you Riso guys know how to use RA ink and TR masters in those? With a couple of mods, just fine! (A great way to use up some old stock!)

Enough rambling from an old man. Greetings from the beautiful Shenandoah valley!

    Welcome! =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
