My sharp Mx4501 is printing blank pages. The self print test have missing black. Could this be the black drum that is faulty?

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks for welcoming me to the forum. I am just getting to use the forum actually. Here is hoping that I would be able to contribute in some way to continue to make the forum the success that it is.
Well, I am a retired teacher who taught computer maintenance. I am new to laser copier technology. However, I have been working with sharp copiers (mainly monochrome) for the past year. I bought a used Sharp MX4501n copier. It worked well for about one month and then the problem of printing blank pages occurred. When I did a self print test it would print all color patterns except black. Since then I changed the black drum but the problem remains.
