Re: former xerox specific technician 11 years exp
I am glad that I found you here. I have a Xerox Docu Centre 286 which is giving 116-353 error. I searched on the internet and found that this is related to faulty hard drive. I have a new hard drive that can replace the old one. However, I am not sure what is the process involved.
The thing that I am worried about is that - is there any software/data on the old hard drive that I need to transfer to the new drive. Also, what about the hard disk size. Do I need a hard disk of the exact capacity or a bigger one will do as well?
Thank you in advance. I look forward to hearing from you.
Warm regards,

Also, asking technical questions in this thread makes you kind of look like a dummy, so please don't do that.Comment

Welcome! =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
