    Problem uploading pics.

    Good evening everyone!

    Wanted to ask is anyone having problems uploading pictures?
    Whenever i try to upload one or more(JPEG)i always get a 500 error.
    Hope im not doing something wrong/missing something obvious here?

    Thanks in advance!
    I don't like the new copier I just bought. It says "put face down" but every time I do it, it blinds my eyes.

      How big are the files? The largest you can upload are less then 1MB.
      Have you exceeded your allotted memory space? =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Do you have Likes and Dislikes buttons on the bottom of all your threads ?
          I have lost my Likes and Dislike button on the odd occasion, every thing is okay for now.

          I've received PM's from other people who are having the above problem at present.

          See what happens... Aneurysm the SYS-OP might be onto it already.

              I know we had problem with the like, thank, etc buttons once before but can't remember what Aneurysm found. If would be in the Site Feedback or System Announcement forum. One thing I have encountered causes it is if your browser or a Spybot or similar protection software deletes the cookie that is maintaining your login to the site. Quick check is to look at the top of the page to see if your name is there or if the user name and password boxes are there.

              As for pictures, I remember seeing somewhere that there was a size limit but that might have been for avatars or Facebook. A couple of ways to load large pictures:
              1. Upload them to Dropbox and post a link.
              2. Use an imaging software such as Irfanview to convert to a pdf

                  I reduce the Jpeg size with irfanview and then it works fine.

                      I swore i uploaded pictures before that were more than 1 MB.

                          If ajax.googleapis.com is disabled, the thank and like buttons will not appear. Seems to have something to do with the javascript that links likes and thanks to tech rep.
