    Need Help with Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C259iF Error E000302-0001 (Novice User)



    I’m hoping someone can help me out. I’m working with a Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C259iF, and I’m getting the error code E000302-0001. I’m not very experienced with these machines, but I’ve done my best to troubleshoot it by following advice I found on ChatGPT and some YouTube videos.




    So far, I’ve:
    • Wiped down the scanner glass and ADF
    • Took apart the scanner section to clean it thoroughly
    • Powered the machine off and on again after cleaning







    Despite that, the error keeps coming back. I believe this code has something to do with the scanner lamp or reader unit, but I’m not sure what to check next.




    Any help would be appreciated — especially in beginner-friendly terms. If anyone knows a common fix or can guide me step-by-step, I’d be super grateful.

    Hi,

    Could be a loose connection to the CIS. I would trace the ribbon cable back to the controller board & clean the contacts.

    Might also be worth updating the firmware.
