    New Like/Thank you button

    The new Like / Thank you buttons have been installed and they are way better than the old one.

    First the Cons:
    • [*=1]I couldn't save any history from the old system.


    Now on with the Pros:
    • [*=1]The Like/Thanks system is linked in with reputation system so liking or thanking a post you will add +1 to that users reputation.
      [*=1]You can unthank or unlike a post (Donor usergroup only)
      [*=1]Dislike button (coming soon)
      [*=1]Collapsible stats under username in posts
      [*=1]System notifications when new likes/thanks are received
      [*=1]Email notification of new likes/thanks received


    Thanks to everyone who has be waiting patiently for this project to get finished, and extra thanks to all the donors and supporters of the site who help pay the bills around here. Be advised that the positioning and look of the new buttons may change over the next few days/weeks while we test out a few things. Your feedback is always welcome so let us know if you see anything that doesn't seem right.

              Thanks for all the work Aneurysm. I noticed all the stray punctuation marks have vanished along the way. We all appreciate your efforts to maintain our little community.

              P.S. Most of the avatars I choose look a little psychotic. I want them to be a little like me.

              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.

                          Hooray for Aneurysm, may he go straight to the top of Santa's Good Boy list!

                          And my classic car has suddenly re-appeared and, oh look!, I can post things again.

                              I'm not too sure I'm fond of the alerts whenever a post is liked, I'll have to see how it turns out with all the jokes.

                                  I agree. Although I've only received 1 'like' since the new button was introduced, but, I would 'like' to have the option to disable email alerts on this function, just like you can on subscribed threads.

                                  Having said that, I am happy that it's back, and the overall improvements are welcome.
