There is no real answer for this because it depends on how much coverage is on page. OEM's basically use the same footprint, toner yield is based on 5% coverage. So for instance when the stated yield is 10,000 pages for a toner that is based on 5% coverage which is like 2 paragraphs of text. That is an unrealistic number because most prints have more than 5% coverage so we always tell customer the yield will be much less. Not sure why but for the 40+ years in this biz the OEM's have always used 5% or 6% coverage for their stated yields.....
As a rule of thumb, the specified yield is based on a letter size page of text that is 12 pitch, double spaced with a 1 inch margins on top, bottom and both sides and no graphics.
