    Precision Roller

As an independent tech, I've been trying to find a good, reputable US source for OEM parts. So far I've found Precision Roller generally has the best selection, but not always the best prices. I'm curious as to whether or not anyone has a 'dealer' account with them. If so, what's the ballpark difference between the listed prices and the dealer prices. If the break is good enough, I may look at dropping my bits from here and there approach.

Feel free to PM if this is something you don't want to broadcast to the world.

    Thanks in advance

80% of my purchases have gone from the usual Katun, ACM, Arlington..., and have gone to Precision Roller. They offer free shipping on orders over $75 which is huge for a little guy like me. Granted, they're a little more expensive on some parts, but they're usually very close. Well worth signing up for terms with them.

They have good tech support and I have got them to take back electrical parts.

I agree with all of the above. The free shipping counts for a lot. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

              Re: Precision Roller

We use precision roller for certain OEM parts, and I've found that if you establish a sales contact, you can often get a little better pricing by calling them directly and asking them what your price is, instead of just straight ordering online.

We use Katun for certain things, their TritonIII fuser rollers seems to hold up well, Drums we can typically get 80-90% of the expected PM cycle out of, and price difference makes it worth it for us. Their Feed tires seem to be crap though, so we always use OEM. The nice thing is their Midwest warehouse about an hour from me so i typically get items next day for ground ship price.

I second the above with PR. I try to build up a larger order and talk to a sales rep on the phone...usually get discounts that way and they help by forwarding manuals, diagrams, etc.

I like densi for desktop model stuff.

precision roller is a good company. they handle returns well. i also use nationwide repair in kansas and hy-tech in florida for boards, staplers, hard drives, etc.

Frontier Imaging is also a great one. 75% of my current orders are from them. they customized my pricing and is definitely better than what i use to get for at acm and arlington. They have a huge inventory for both OEM and compatibles. OEM pricing is not bad. but they have great price on compatibles. i haven't found many to beat their compatibles.

Hytec definitely for PWB's they're great to deal with. We often help out indies with parts & I won't gouge them cause you never know when you may become one. Precision roller has just about anything OEM you'll need.
