Haven't they been bought by Canon?

The Segment III and less are rebadges, some Konica Minolta. I'm pretty used to those now.

The faster ones I only know what the Oce' techs used to say: it takes forever to get parts from Japan. And they're built sturdy, like a press.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

From what I can see the Seg III and lower have all been dropped by OCE and have been replaced by the Canon iR-Advance equivalent, they and Canon are offering the VarioPrint DP line

I think the Kyocera-Mite guyz should be able to give you some insights into the working of these machines. If I remember correctly oce was trading with KM not many months ago before their 'marriage turned sour', and the had to sell to canon.

I would be surprised if the brand name survives at all.

In the UK, the announcement will be made shortly as to what the merger means in real terms to the products and service.

I was given the impression they were made to last forever from a Canon instructor.
