    Billing for scans

Does anyone out there bill for scans, we have a few places that seem to scan more then anything, maybe a 8 to 1 scan to copy/print ratio.
I seem to recall Toshiba having a way to set the meter counters to record a page click for every 4 scan clicks, but I cant seem to find it anywhere, either on here or Toshibas FYI site, what do ya'll do out there???

Company I work for bills for scans on some customers. It appears on the work order if they want us to get the reading. Not sure about Toshiba though, we work on KM and Kyocera/Copystar. I've noticed the Kyocera's count every page that goes thru the ADF(DP) as a scan. I don't know if our company separates the scan count fax vs copies etc. We have had a couple customers bring it up though, I don't really care either way as long as I get paid. lol

I can see the benefit of charging for scans, because its a piece of paper traveling thru the machine causing wear on components etc. Gotta make that cost up some how I guess.

It's not just DF rollers. Scanning requires a lot more op panel manipulation than any other function. At least on Kyocera, machines heavily used for scanning consume many more tablets. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
