    How are Samsung Copiers,Fax,Printers?

    Hello Everyone,

I would like to have your opinion ( who are dealing with this products) about above products as we are planning to do business with them.

Thanks for your replies in advance.

I have high hopes. We just became a dealer last week. I've got one machine on the floor that won't scan, but I am not going to criticize the whole line based on our one machine.

The thing I like best so far, is that the base models have everything built in. You don't have to add on 10 accessories to get full functioning.

The drivers I installed last week automatically load all kinds of software that I don't want. I'll have to find a "custom installation".
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Samsung

Average at best; looks like a nice machine but works like a brother. Also CPC is expensive at dealers cost good luck making money on the service contracts. You will only profit if you don't provide toner, or drum units.
And we all know how competitive copy rates are these days its hard to even charge 1 penny per copy with Samsung

I thank you all distinguished members of Copytechnet forum for your replies.

We have received one machine from Samsung which is SCX-6345N.
Seems better machine with all those inbuilt features.

Can sombody enlighten me ,..what is Smartthrough on control panel which is shaded? I believe it is some kind of software need to enable it on machine.

SmarThru is Samsung's proprietary version of software like Outlook. It appears to have a calender, folder and filing options, a scanning utility, etc. I've only played with the push scanning utility.

I think this particular software may have been partly responsible for 15,000 identical print jobs landing in the print queue. It happened the same day that I installed the software. Since I've removed the software I haven't had a re-occurance. I am hesitant to try it out again. Maybe on an isolated PC to limit the damage. =^..^=
