    Re: Canon AP810 ribbon help

    If you'd have asked me 15 years ago I would have known. By now, a bunch of other stuff has pushed that out, long gone. =^..^=
    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

            I managed to find an AP850 and AP800III Service Manual. Both use a ribbon sensor to identify either correctable or multistrike. There is no program to make the change. Some of the smaller Canon typewriters had a hole in the bottom of the ribbon cartridge to identify either correctable or multistrike.

            I think I mae half brok somethig. Thoze brane cels half bin dorment a very long tiem. =^..^=

                Hah! I can vaguely remember the silvery leader at the beginning of the ribbon.

                Congratulations. =^..^=
