Looking for stand alone free smtp server software that works in windows 7 and up...

I was working with setting up smtp today and had an issue where I was unable to get smtp to work for outgoing mail in gmail...
I eventually got it working with stunnel...
But during my endeavers, I tried to get argosoft to work as the freeware version was a mainstay for setting up stand alone smtp servers... no domains... just an ip address and a port... point the copier to it... use a password or no password... it would blindly send out an email...

Now the old version if you can find it does not work with windows 7 or any of the newer versions. I am checking here for something that will do that...

so basically looking for an smtp server that
1. does not need a domain
2. can do anonymous or password based authentication
3. can work with windows 64 or 32
4. can work with windows 7 or newer
5. if possible does not use .net or will install needed .net components
6. is free... free is king...

I've used Stunnel on both x86 and x64 workstations and servers including Windows 7/Server 2008 R2, as well as a few Linux servers. It's an easy configuration file away from working and matching all of your needs. The only thing with Stunnel is to make sure you set the service to start with the machine, at least in Windows, otherwise it will need to be manually started after a reboot.

For my Office 365 Business email, I also have Stunnel set up for my reporting emails from different servers and MFP's in my office: no issues with it and it's done exactly what I've asked of it.

To reiterate... I have no issues with stunnel... it works great...

I am looking for a replacement to the free argosoft mail server. It doesn't work with the newer version of windows... I am looking for a free mail server that can be configured as an open relay or can be configured as a simple mail server without a domain...

I second hmail, I used to use it up until 2003, always had an exchange server after that.
