papercut printing issues

hi all

have papercut 16.0 on an all mac enviroment (mac mini server, mac clients, running 10.10 or 10.11) to an ic-416 fiery on a konica minolta C308, with the papercut popup client running (complex, i know)

two problems, when printing via server, all print dialogs run slow (hit file,print, wait 8-10 secs, select print, wait 6-8 secs, popup client, second or two then print). printing via bonjour shared on client via standard fiery driver to IP LPD generic PS driver on server to copier. apart from speed, every thing else is ok.

also tried direct print to fiery using direct print monitor to inform papercut job is done. speed is fine, but some jobs cancel themselves, and some jobs have 4-6 other files going with them (with titles like efi_prefs). this method worked fine for a week, then problems started. these two problems can overlap (sometimes single jobs and cancel, somtimes multi job and cancel, and vice versa)

if anyone can fix either, i'd be grateful.

If you got it through ACDI, I'd start with them for help. I don't have experience running it in a Mac environment.

If printing to server is slow compared to local install driver you could trying installing the Papercut secondary print server on the Mac. You can then install the driver locally. The secondary print server on the mac will then forward the logged data to the Primary papercut server.

Try to update the papercut to version 16.1, there are some improvement and fixed using this version.
