    Re: Default Printer ERROR

It might be pertinent to know what manufacturer and model of printer, what OS your PC or Mac are running, what version of the driver you installed, and if you're using the WSD port. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

A little bit drastic of a solution there. It's pretty much throwing out the baby with the bath water.

Just go into the registry and delete the following key:

          HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printe rs\printername\CopyFiles

Where printername is the name of the printer you're trying to add.

If the printer is shared from a server this will have to be done from the print server.

I've seen this quite a bit with HP printers. Just another instance of their poor driver design.
