Upgrading Toshiba e-Studio 506 to Toshiba 4508
I am replacing a Toshiba 506 with a new 4508. I have all the users set up on the server for scanning to SMB. Do you think it would be possible to do a backup of the data on the web page of the 506 and restore it on the web page of the 4508? Any other ideas on how to set up SMB scanning the easiest way on the new machine?

It's certainly worth a try. The worst thing that can happen is that the backup file won't import. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

An e506 is known as an eBX copier series. Am e4508A is known as a eBN copier series. You cannot directly export Scan templates from eBX to eBN.
There is the eBX Convertor Tool V3.1.14.0 that you can try.
Otherwise, you are going to have to keyboard in all of the Templates.
You can also try creating a clone file of the e506 and importing that into the e4508A but I am not sure how well that will work.
Be prepared if the clone fails, to format the HDD and reinstall the firmware to the latest V1054.
How many Templates are there? If there are less then 6, I would keyboard them in.Comment
