Canon IR 3245 How to test network card ?

I have a customer who's computer guy says the copier needs a network card. I have changed several for computer guys and that has never been the problem. This one is very expensive. The network cannot find the printer for sure. The customer said this all started when Cox cable reset the Wifi network. I have hooked the machine to USB and that works. Any help would be very appreciated.

I think you need to change the bootrom card only, it sits on the network card. is a little card which should enable the network card for working.
await for more responses as I'm not very familiar with this model.

find out what the IP address is on the copier.. hook your laptop up to it via cross over cable..set the network card on your laptop on an IP address one less EXAMPLE copier IP 192.168.1.123 subnet 255.255.255.0 laptop IP 192.168.122 subnet 255.255.255.0 ... open a command line prompt on your lapper type PING 192.168.1.123 you should get REPLY ...if you get NO good reply check settings and do again.. you should see two lights on the copier NIC one amber and one green ..green should be solid lit ..amber flashing

also try googling Ping Command for further explanation

Connect it via crossover cable to your laptop. Print/scan/whatever. If it works ... then it works. If it doesn't work, then you've got something to fix. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Print a config page - see if the IP info is there.
Change the IP to a different one, print the config page again and see if the new IP is there.
Give both config pages to the computer guy and tell him to take a hike!

From laptop using cross over cable with Windows: command prompt type "IPCONFIG" it will give you a local ip 169, enter that ip in network settings front panel copier. If you are using a MAC then type " IFCONFIG " in the terminal, same as above, will give you a local 169 IP. Enter IP in explorer or Chrome to open the copiers web page. Also check to see if the switch was just changed out with a new one on the network, that could be the cause too
When I started servicing copiers they used toaster ovens for fusers.....I'm old
