    Need Support

    Dear all

I have Ricoh Pro8120s with external Fiery Controller EB-32.

I am facing some difficulty in printing. I have to print multiple files of MS word and PDF format sent to printer in sequence, we enable duplex "open to left" by default by that the files contains more than one page print in duplex. I am facing files contains single also pass from duplex by which machine speed reduced 50%. I observed that all single page files shows 2 pages on machine's panel.Even if I print windows test page it pass through duplex.

when we disable duplex same files shows single page on machine's panel and not pass through duplex but i am unable to print files more than one page in duplex mode.

    Kindly guide me.

I am waiting for your response.

    Thanks
    Furqan

well you mentioned Word and PDF... and duplex

    1) duplex will slow MOST machines down
    2) didn't mention SIZE of the FILES
    3) have you checked the PROPERTIES of the file VS the settings on the machine/software
    4) how are you connecting the PC/MAC to the Fiery and to the machine?
    5) are firmware files up to date on machine and Fiery?

really..... if you need help you need to provide more information.

If slow down for duplex printing of more than one page is ok. I said if print singal page file will also pass through duplex means unnecessary duplex slows down machine.
      2) didn't mention SIZE of the FILES
      Not more than 8 pages
      3) have you checked the PROPERTIES of the file VS the settings on the machine/software
      Yes
      4) how are you connecting the PC/MAC to the Fiery and to the machine?
      By network

      5) are firmware files up to date on machine and Fiery?
      Yes.

      Kindly guide me

not # of PAGES but SIZE (MB) of the files.

you have duplex on as default... TURN IT OFF

clearly you aren't a tech. HIRE ONE.

          Maximum file size is 1MB

When we trun off duplex machine speed becomes normal but issue is that we have to print files of more than one page in duplex which will not done when we trun off duplex.

I am a tech who maintain ricoh's high end machines since last 15years. Currently I run same printing jobs on Ricoh pro1357ex perfectly now we add Ricoh pro8120s and facing this issue.

Auto duplex means that all printed pages pass twice, regardless of it's 1 image or more. That's the essence of it. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                Dear
It works on pro1357ex that singal page file not pass through duplex and files more than one page print in duplex. Although duplex is set to "open to left" for all files.
Pro 1357ex have it's own built in print controller.
Pro 8120s have external fiery controller.

It sounds to me like you have not been formally trained on either the Pro8120, Fiery, or both.
