PDF - Select tray according to text on page

    Good evening.

I've been browsing the interwebs looking for a solution for this problem, but had no luck so far.

Anyone knows of any method or software that allows me to choose a tray when printing a PDF according to some text found on a page?

I know I can choose the tray according to page size - that's not what I want.

    Thank you very much.

I image KyoCapture could read text in a specific location, or better, a barcode with that data. It's like driving a tack with a sledge hammer though. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

KyoCapture is for routing documents that are scanned in at the MFP from what I gather. Question is, is the OP talking about a scanned in PDF document or a PDF document that has been digitally generated from a PC program? Either way, it would have to be searchable by a macro designed to look at a specific area of a page in the document. I have tried DMS Link for barcode routing to folders on a server but for the KyoCapture, I don't know. Question though, can KyoCapture output watch a folder and from there route to a print driver setup with a specific default tray to print from???[emoji848]

          Thank you for your input.

We're talking about a PDF generated from an accounting program. I need for certain pages to come from the white paper tray, some others from letterhead (the majority) and a few from label paper. Doing the "every X pages do..." is not feasible because each invoice has a different number of pages.
We tried to embed some hidden text on each page (something like #letterhead) so we could use Welp to do this job, but acrobat reader creates what I believe is a binary print job data, and that code can't be found by Welp.
(I hope I explained myself correctly).
          Thanks again.

So these documents preforms different functions? Then it seems that it should be the accounting software that needs to split it.
Like most accounting software would allow you to setup a printer for each different form.
Invoices goes to invoices quotes goes to quotes picking slips to picking slip printer.
            Whatever

Re: PDF - Select tray according to text on page

The problem is that the print room gets the invoices is only one PDF and there's no way around that. I need a method to "read" each page and redirect it to the appropriate paper tray.
