    365 & Webdav

    Hi

got a customer using webdav & papercut, has just migrated to 365, when they scan through webdav it says job completed, but it doesn't appear anywhere

is there anything special that needs to be set up to scan to 365 using webdav

    cheers

You are going to have to check with your copier manufacturer first to determine the best technical resources to find a solution.

This is definitely 3rd party billable Professional service hours and the solution is not within the toolbox of a typical copier dealer. By this I mean, someone is going to invoice you to try and find a solution and you will pass that invoice onto the customer plus the cost of your time. A solution is not necessarily guaranteed nor inexpensive.

With three different technologies all inplace at one time, you are going to have a hard time finding the correct expert. I would start with Papercut.

Customer's often lock onto new technology without first checking within anyone if it is possible to support.

Knew this wasn't going to be an easy one, I tried scanning without the webdav, used direct input and manually entered the email address,(set up SMTP with office 365 credentials) got a login error, network code 550, got the customer to double check their password, also got them to change password as it was a new 365 account set up for scanner

WebDAV is a form of cloud storage. Office 365 OneDrive for Business is a form of Cloud Storage.

Is the issue that scan to Office 365 Outlook email accounts do not work?

Or are you saying that somehow you scan into WebDAV folders via email?

Can you scan to WebDAV or OneDrive for Business? Does the customer not want to migrate their WebDAV folders to OneDrive for Business (if that is even technically possible)?

What is the model # of copier you are working with? Does it offer an Office 365 app?

I've never seem WebDAV in action before, it seems that when they login in to papercut, they select WebDAV and this appears to send to their 365 email account, they have 4 different models, but are trying to sort it on the KM bizhub C308

They are now, apparently, getting an error message from papercut saying "There seems to be a problem sending your scanned document" then is has the file details, persons name name, date & file type, followed by "if this problem persists please contact your administrator", so the client thinks it's a papercut issue

I would start by engaging Konica Minolta's "All Covered" IT Division for Professional Services.

If the customer has a Papercut service contract you could start there as well.

Try setting up scan to email rather than webdav?

We have clients with KMs/solutions and i only remember them using scan to email/folder.

Should work as long as you MFP supports TLS/StartTLS. If not, a relay server will be required. A number of national IT company provide relay services for their customers. Another option is a local relay software such as Stunnel.

Well...I've learnt something, Papercut has it's own SMTP settings, that's where you put the 365 settings....
