    Command+R
    Holding C
    Holding CMD

    None of these do anything.

Any idea where to go next?

          "CMD+C" or perhaps "CMD+D"

Is the SSD that you installed specified to be compatible with that mac??? Additionally when you do the key combinations, you have to hold down all the specified keys at once!!![emoji57]
