      You can on a Windows server however setting it up on a PC usually required the install cd for the added files.
      Filezilla is free and very easy to configure.

        One of the mistakes many people make is to specify the path starting from the root directory of the drive and not the root directory setup in the FTP server. That is why using just . to place the scanned file in the ftp folder.
