Windows is good, but they really need to sort out this update system to get it working better.

I have windows10 and Linux on my computer Windows updates are flaky, sometimes get like stuck at 6% for 5 minutes.
Linux updates everything in one go programs and system in a few minutes, reboots are only needed when a kernel is upgraded and even when you have to restart there's no waiting.

Just wait until you get yum or apt broken with no real way to troubleshoot thanks to very generic errors. I had a customer's Debian server break a few months back and it took a good four hours to figure out just where the package catalgoue broke.

None of this is part of the service contract that I offer and if I'm gonna assume the liability of installing the updates, I gotta get paid. Think about it. If power goes out during the update...the customer is gonna hold you responsible.
We are charging as well as this is an OS issue, not a copier / printer issue. When they complain about the charge, I print from my phone or direct to the machine from my laptop.
See, it works. Now pay me

Well, yes and no. When I have customers who were unaware that you COULD print from your phone, you can open a whole new can of worms. Its hard enough supporting MACs and PCs, throw phones in there and I think im just gonna get one of those $15/hr fast food jobs.
You want cheese on that ?

I spent all day installing updates to fix the BSOD. It's always on Monday when the calls pour in. I guess they leave their PC's on all week and shut them down for the weekend. And I have to go to another location tomorrow and they want to me install the updates on 20+ PC's. Fun, fun. The most boring job ever.
