    Wireless bridge

    Hi,
has any one used a wireless bridge to connect a Ricoh MFD to a wireless network ... and if so did you loose any functionality ?

I'm sure it will work but need to know its limitations if any

    cheers in advance

I've done them on Sharp & Toshibas without any problems. You shouldn't loose any functionality as it's the same as a wired connection in the MFP's eyes.
    Hope that helps !

You could do this for just about any network device. All you would need is a wireless router connected to the copier.

In doing this though, I would set the router to AD-HOC mode and get it to connect to your existing wireless gear just to increase security surrounding the wireless connection.

On the other hand, you could use the router as a general access point for everyone and just connect the copier via RJ45.

Alot of ways to do this, but at the end of the day, all you will be doing is access the copiers IP address through Wi-Fi.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Lately I've been using the Linksys WET54g and have full use of all functions on the MFP. I just connected a Savin 4035Esp with one today.

No loss in funtions, try using a wireless gaming adapter! works great and low cost, easy to configure, Linksys, Dlink, or any that you can find. I've used many, with n o problems.
