Has anyone worked with Starlink before as your ISP when connecting a copier for scan to email?

Since Starlink uses low orbit satellites, lag time shouldn't be a problem. There is a possibility of slight data corruption when your ground station transitions from one satellite to the next but Starlink's technology should have that covered. Just to be on the safe side I would use their email service. -
I found this post on Starlink's Forum:
Starlink doesn't have any SMTP settings because Starlink does not provide email accounts to customers. You will need to go to the provider for each of your email accounts and find the providers SMTP settings for use in Thunderbird.
I switched to ProtonMail more than a year ago. I configured ProtonMail to REPLY to each of my email addresses as if the email was sent from that address. In addition, I can choose to send email as a particular email address.
I loathe having multiple email accounts. When I switched to ProtonMail, I auto-forwarded everything else to my ProtonMail address. I also started switching all of my online accounts -to use my new ProtonMail address -- slowly but surely.
The whole point of ProtonMail is privacy. If all you are doing is forwarding other email addresses to Proton, the provider of each email address (e.g., Google for Gmail), has access to the content of your email once it passes through their servers. I switched to ProtonMail to stop exactly that.
If you aren't going to switch over to ProtonMail completely, then it may not be the right solution for you. Just sayin'... 😉
As for a Dishy "plastic raincoat..." never seen or heard of such. I've heard about a custom, heavy-duty(-ish?) bag for transporting Dishy when moving it, but no "raincoat". You are correct, in that, Dishy is indeed rain-proof and, in fact, pretty much all-around weather-proof. Not sure what purpose a "raincoat" would serve...Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

We've got a couple and use it as a backup backup in the office, we use smtp2go for smtp server, no issues. We don't like using isp smtp as if customer changes isp it's another service call. it's all about standardisation.👍 1Comment

Are you liking smtp2go so far? We switched to it last year and have been switching all machines using Gmail over to it, and haven't had any issues really.👍 1Comment

Have been using smtp2go for a few years now, no issues, we've got over 300 copiers on our account, each with its own account, we bill a scan fee to cover the cost. We also have our own domain for it so all customers machines come from that domain. Eg wealhatefinishers@frommyprinter.au we occasionally have issues with firewalls at some customers sites but have worked out ways to get round it. I happily recommend SMTP2go
