    Stamps.com printing with MAC

Hello there, been looking at an issue with Stamps.com (App) and a MAC not orienting the text correctly when printing Comp 10 landscape wise through the bypass tray. The address and stamp prints across the envelope rather than along it.
My research and attempts has shown no option given from Stamps.com to select landscape or portrait. As noted below, the MAC is using the Generic PCL Driver, to my knowledge this shouldn't affect Stamps.com printing. The bypass tray is set for envelope.
Hopefully I've just overlooked a simple solution.

    MAC:
Using Generic PCL 6 Driver to Ricoh MP2554 (unit doesn't have PS3)
    OS Sonoma

While I don't have experience with Ricoh, I know I've had issues with Sharp, Epson, and Kyocera, where you must set the paper type(envelope) AND size(com-10/#10), or it doesn't orientate it correctly, as well as receiving a paper type/size mismatch error. I had an issue when printing to an Epson(using Epson genuine driver), that would cut off com-10 envelopes on both edges. Switched to a Sharp driver, and it worked just fine.

Are you able to have it pull up a print preview? Or perhaps have it print using the mac system dialog rather than their app controlling it?

The customer needs to buy a dedicated label printer that uses or emaulates ZPL/ ZPLii Zebra print driver language.

You are wasting your time trying to make a copier print something it was not designed for.

Apple's Generic PCL 6 Driver is most likely the problem. It doesn't allow you set what is needed in the driver because it knows nothing about the hardware. Since the MP 2554 supports PDF direct printing, a subset of PostScript, you need to download and install the PPD installer from Ricoh. Unless you need licensed features of a high level publishing software you do not need to install PS3 on the 2554.
