Oce im3511/Sharp AR-M355(?) Mac OSX printing issue

As the title states, we are having an issue with a university locally that is unable to print certain documents to the Oce im3511. When I say certain documents, it appears more often than not, that PDF files are causing the issue. It is a bit harder to track down though what OSX version they are using, which browser, which PDF software is initiating the problem. When the print job is sent from the computer to the copier, the copier will start to spool the job, but then go in to an endless loop of recycling the power by itself. If the print job is removed from the print spool queue, the restarting will stop.

I can verify are that most everyone experiencing this issue is using OSX 10.4 or higher. There also appears to be an issue with using Adobe Reader 9.1 for Mac, where some previous versions of Reader have worked fine.

I need to figure out what the most up to date driver is for Mac OSX versions 10.4 and higher, and where it is available from seeing as the one that Oce has provided is not working for this application. Any information would be appreciated!

Hit file>print>advanced>check print file as image.

Adobe F'ed up. Do a Google search & you'll find 45million hits for PDF printing trouble.
    Hope that helps !

      Mac Printing issue

We installed the Sharp version in a school district and had to add postscript to solve the problem.

We already have the PostScript kits on each of the machines there. Their environment is almost a 50/50 mix of Mac to Windows.

I'm curious to find if there is a driver available on Sharp's site that is new than what has been released to us. Perhaps it might give some change in what is happening. I was having some issues with using Sharp's site to download drivers so I have not had any luck there...
