Is Kyocera Taskalfa 4550ci compatible with Microsoft 365 and Windows 11 ???

OK, so I have this long time customer that we are still leasing a Kyocera Taskalfa 4550ci to.

I have updated the firmware to the final, final version (2LC_2F00.012.101 2017.07.21)
I do service and maintenance only, no IT, we farm that out or most companies have their own IT people now days...

They got new Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 / Outlook and now have nothing but problems...

Their IT people seem to act like they cannot configure this older machine on Microsoft 365 / Windows 11,

They have limited printing working and no scanning ability...

The IT people are now telling my company that this Taskalfa 4550ci is just too old and that it cannot be hooked up to Microsoft 365, Windows 11, outlook?

So I need to know whether or not it is possible to hook up, and do we just need a new IT person to handle this or what before we start pushing machines in and out the door just to try ???
We have a Taskalfa 4551ci we could possibly swap out if it would work ???

THANKS for any and all input guys,
it would be a great help to me
    and my customer...

Haven't dealt with Kyos for several years now. However don't believe IT that it won't print, it will just fine. Been away from doing scan to email for a while now. I know gmail went 2fa, did not set up many O365 back then. Some IT guys are id10t's when it comes to loading a print driver though. I think that machine supports tls 1.2 on port 587 for O365, not certain though.

The 4550ci will not work with the new security requirements that Office 365 has implemented. It doesn't have the security settings in the command center.

Their IT is just too lazy to do the needed research, or should I say the proper internet search. Microsoft has options for allowing any multifunction device or application to send email using Microsoft 365 or Office 365. And it is not done on the multifunction device. It is done through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, IT stuff. Here is a link to one such document. Give it to your customer so they can provide it to their IT. Of course you can also offer the customer a bid for a newer machine but It doing what needs to be done will eventually have to be done. 50/50 split here...Printing should be no problem. There is no difference in installing a 4550ci driver from say a 5053ci driver, in fact they are the same package. If there is a difference there, it's all Windows and they don't know shit about installing printers.

Scanning and O365/SMB etc it's doable but only using insecure methods and you are the hack for still leasing a 10 year old machine and putting your customer in the cloud on it.

The '1' series will at least do TLS 1.2 so do that.
