    Forwarding Email

    Hi,

I have a customer that wants all the emails sent from the MFD also forwarded on to them.

The machine was set up using a gmail account.

Does it need to be set up on the MFD or in gmail?

Definitely get a little more detail on what exactly they're trying to accomplish as there may be privacy concerns with that. Generally, just making sure someone has access to the actual email account being used is sufficient.

You can enforce a policy of choosing a group when sending email.

Or set the gmail program to forward emails. Recipients can create rules to forward received emails too.

The boss can even enter the gmail account and look at everything being sent. Until google shuts down smtp service forever.
I have used Canon Imagerunner parts for sale. Most are floor model Color and / Advances Imagerunner with some 3025 3235 parts. Several intact machines being parted.

Setup machine Gmail account to forward all send email to them. Done 👍

Am I missing something, or is there no mention of the MFP brand in question?

No matter, it would be a MUCH better idea to set this up on the Gmail side.

In many corporate environments, confidentiality concerns may take preference over privacy concerns. I have had customers where all scan to email was banned by corporate policy as was the use of personal email accounts on company computers and connecting private computers to the company network.

All they need to do is look in the sent folder of that gmail account. All sent emails will be there.

Absolutely right / these 3 min setups of new gmail accounts for the MFP are not HIPPA compliant. Its bad business practice to use them at all. Business Gmail... that one would pay for... supposedly is HIPPA cert. It is best to setup an account with network solutions to handle such mail ( NO SERVER COPY ) or use smtp to go.
