I does have smtp settings for report purposes, accessed via the webpage, setup smtp, dns, etc, you will have to turn on smtp in order for it to work in the network protocol page.

I put this in the Connectivity forum rather than Kyocera to give everyone the opportunity to comment, SMTP works the same regardless of the manufacturer since it's an internet standard communication protocol.

I have a question for you, Slim. I noticed that Kyocera and Ricoh mono printers are almost identical. Do you know if Kyocera or Ricoh manufacture there own printers? Or does either rebadge?

I have a question for you, Slim. I noticed that Kyocera and Ricoh mono printers are almost identical. Do you know if Kyocera or Ricoh manufacture there own printers? Or does either rebadge?

As far as I know Kyocera printers makes its own equipment and has not rebadge them.

Kyocera IE Mita Copiers has rebadge and also used other brands IE Konica copiers at one time.

They also discontinued the Copystar lineup.

Ricoh has recently rebadged a handful of Kyocera A-4 machines which will have a need for a copier stand unless you want to pay the extra $$$ for paper trays. Thankfully we have a few options that will give your machine a complete look.


The new Ricoh IM 550F, IM 600SRF, P800, and P801 will all work with our M3110 High/Medium/Low stands. As well as our adjustable stand, the ADJ45S.


Our M3110 series is a customer favorite for these machines, as they are form fitting and gives the machine a cohesive look. Locator pins included with optional feet stabilizers.

Ricoh re-brands a number of entry level Kyo products.

In the early days of plain paper copiers, Olivetti sold relabeled Minolta models. Olivetti and Lanier (before they became a Ricoh owned brand) sold Sharp. Olivetti merely changed label. Lanier redesigned the control panel. At one time Sharp had a model that didn't use heat to fuse the toner to the paper. It used cold pressure between 2 steel roller that clicked back together when the paper left. Worked except most customers did not like the noise.

Did you know that in the coated paper days SCM made a high speed model that used a xenon strobe system to expose the original. Built on the same frame as the Coronastat 55, the copy paper was fed down the vacuum back and when the lead edge hit the registration switch, the strobes fired. The paper never stopped. It used a strobe pack that had an output sufficient kill a person.

That's interesting, I remember Olivetti's, I did not know they formed with Lanier to form Ricoh, I used to work on Ricoh's years back and I knew that a badged Lanier would cross with Ricoh. I did not know about the Sharp fuser with no heat to fuse the toner. Sorry to hijack your post Skynet.
