    Ricoh 2051SP Printing Issue

    Hi All,

I am working on Ricoh 2051SP that i am trying to setup printing. I have all the right setup on the machine. I can ping and get into the Web page with out any issues. But when i try to print a test page, it just sits in the queue and errors out even from my laptop with crossover. I have changed the NIC thinking that may be just a bad NIC but no luck. I have format the HDD, Cleared the Memory under Service Mode but still no luck. When i change the whole controller, it started working fine. If you have any ideas, please help me...

    Thanks in Advance.

If you changed the controller and it started working, why are you asking for help?

Unfortunately controllers do occasionally fail. You can send it for repair to a company like Hytec for less than the cost of a new one. Another option is to use a boot SD card P/N B6456090. It is used to boot when the controller data becomes corrupt. I don't know if it will resolve your particular problem, but it may be worth a try as they are not that expensive. The procedure is covered in tech bulletin 091R for the B140 series.

Have you tried reloading/updating the firmware? At this point, it's the only way for sure to know it's a board and not a software issue. Do it all too, not just one or two things. Sometimes, for updates to load properly, you have to have other sections of firmware updated as well, so just load all the latest and greatest.
