Newbie to copy machine with networking capabilities

    Hi.

I was recently put in charge of a department where we have a
Canon imageRunner 2200 that I would like to connect by ethernet.

I'm trying to find useful information around, in the internet, in this
forum, etc., but I can't find any "step-by-step" manual to link this
    copy machine to the network.

Can someone help me with this issue? I don't even know where
to start... we only use this copy machine as a copy machine and
don't use the advantages of a ethernet printer as we would like
    to do.

    Thank you very much,
    HT.

    1.Ethernet cable.
2.Do you have a simple network setup already.
3.Connect the copier to your network hub, router. which ever one you have.
    4.Configure the copier>Additional function>system settings>network settings>Tcp/ip>
    <Example>
    Tcp/IP> 192.168.1.10
    Subnet> 255.255.255
    Gateway> 192.168.1.1(Optional)"
5.Check communication. Ping the copier from a workstation thats on that same network using the run.Check the attachment.
6.If communication has been established, go to step 7
7.Install print driver. Download from canon usa if you don't have the disk. Look for a PCL driver. The latest version will do. Save it to your desktop.
8.Add printer from printer and faxes menu.
    9.Create a port,standard/tcp/IP.
    10.Type the IP address.
11.Install the driver from "Have disk"
12.Browse to the folder on your desktop where you saved the file.
13.Let it install, you should see a canon printer driver in your printer and faxes menu.
14.Right click on the driver, go to properties. go to device setting, you should see, "get device status" Hit get device status. It should get device information just in case it has accessories.Apply>OK
15.Right click on the driver, go to properties. Print out a test page.

    Good luck.
