Does anyone Remote Desktop to Customers computers

To ease frustrations, I have used the following to remote onto our customers computers.
PcHelpware - UltraVNC: Remote Support Software, Remote Support tool,Remote Desktop Control, Remote Access Software, PC Remote Control
    and
CrossLoop - Affordable Online Computer Help - Technical Support Services

    Any opinions? Different methods? Concerns?

I use team viewer but not to my daytime customers....
The company helpdesk uses a goto my pc clone that runs in an internet java window to do that.

Fortunately, I'm provided with a WebEx subscription, which I use when walking a customer or coworker through an issue.

There is also a component of WebEx, called Access Anywhere, that can be installed on a PC and accessed remotely at any time. I use that from time to time at managed facilities where the PCs are managed by our people, and I almost wait until after hours to do so.

WebEx will work on Mac and Linux, as well, although Access Anywhere is a Windows only feature.

I like WebEx because their support is excellent, and almost no IT department has an issue with it. (WebEx is actually a division of Cisco.)

We have a few guys who use Mikogo ( Mikogo: Free Remote Desktop, Web Conferencing & Online Meetings ), which works quite well, also. There is also a Mac component. The best part about Mikogo, unlike WebEx, is that it's free.

Most of my customers don't want me digging around in there systems let alone remoting in.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

Have heard of TeamViewer but never tried it. Has a Linux version too
Just downloaded the Portable Mikogo and it seems to work with Wine.
Will have to play with these once I get back to town.

I use LogmeinPro for all of our company computers. I used gotoassist beta for remote access to customer PC's. I couldn't get the boss to spring for it after the final version was released. I now use showmypc which is free. I don't use it very often, so it's fine.
            Hope that helps !

I have a few customers we do networks for that I use LOGMEIN for, but if I need to remote support someone I used to use Crossloop. Not done that in quite some time due to speed issues with Crossloop.

GoToAssist and GoToMeeting are good because the customer doesn't have to install any client software on their PCs. LogmeIn, GotomyPC and other programs have to be installed and that can be a bad idea for the IT guys that will think that we will have access to their PCs.

So Far Mikogo seems to be the best because it is free and it does the job.

For our big customers, we setup a VPN inconjunction with the IT deparatment.

Becuase I also look after IT managed services here at work, I can get clients to install an agent from my server which will then allow me VNC / KVNC / RDP access. This is all through a managment program called Kaseya. It isn't free, but I use it to monitor all my IT clients so I might as well use it for copier clients as well.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Wow this Kaseya has the Cisco approval. Not too shabby then.

Well worth the investment if you are managing multiple networks offsite!!!
