    e-352 / Windows 7 / Cannot hook up via SMB (Print/Scan)

I am working on a e352 that uses 5 network PCs. Some XP and a couple Windows 7.
3 XPs hooked up just fine using SMB. The 2 PCs with Windows 7 print ok using an auto install when clicking on the device when seen on their Network.
Cannot use RUN command (IP or Bios name). It does not allow access to the copier's hard drive.
    Question:
Can anyone instruct or tell me how to access from a Windows 7 the copier's Hard Drive so I can connect using SMB?
Other notes: Can see Top Access ok. Prints ok using an auto install universal toshiba PCL6 drive.
Thanks for any input & have a great weekend.

Sounds like the PC's don't have Administrator rights? Did you try accessing the Control panel and users and seeing what rights they had? Also try right click on COMPUTER and select MANAGE.

put the winblows 7 machine on the same workgroup as the copier. Tell winblows 7 that it is a trusted network. Then you may need to turn off the signed certificates in security.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

Spock is correct. I know there was a firmware for the 451c series because the packet signing wasn't there. This started with Vista & then on 7. Updating firmware should do it.
I just checked and you need at least 330 or above to have the packet signing in the firmware for the 352/452 series.

Thanks for your inputs. I have not yet returned to this copier, but when I do and if I succeed, I'll come back and post what was done. Have a great weekend

Firmware upgrade did the job from 330 to 352. Afterward no problem. Thanks again.
