    chip reset issue

    i have a used chip resetting mach, i loaded software,followed directions, connected a new chip, it read it so i thought, it wouldnt re set the info to a used chip, so after somemore reading, and fumbling around, i dis connected the the chip, ran a read and it said "successfull read 128 bit" blah blah... but it wasnt connected to anything??? i started completely over, still the same read and nothing its says device not responding..now i just ran the program again with no serial port connected and i get the same thing..??
    anybody have an idea,, im using a program called ponyprog2000 and the box is from katun.

      i had to down load the earlier program 1.17 version, works great
      the 2000 version did not work on my pc with vista.
