No duplex pring on AR-M237 w/AR-P17 using OSX

I've got a church that is trying to duplex print to a Sharp AR-M237 using OSX that is unable to do so except through Panorama. I have downloaded and installed the latest PPD drivers from Sharp's website and I know they are selecting two sided/duplex in the options where available.

The machine will just print out 1 sheet, pull it back in, and then instead of printing on the backside it will print out another sheet with the 2nd page printed on it instead.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Sounds like "overlay" or "2 on 1" is locked in instead of duplex.
Since you can duplex through another program (Panorama) I would eliminate the machine and look for some setting in that particular program. Some Mac program's use "page setup" settings just the same as Windows. Those "page setup" settings override any settings from the print driver or PPD.

If you can't find anything in the program someone posted about the CUPS interface for Mac printing, open a browser and type "Localhost:631" and hit enter. Maybe overlay is set as default for your PPD?
