    MXM350n CE-02

If i scan to email it won't work the 1st time(CE-02),i scan the same paper right after it will work just fine, and it will be ok if i use it steadily but if i stop using it for about 10 min,it will do the same prob.

If anybody saw that kind of prob on the road ,i would like to know how you manage to fix it

    Thanks in advance.

Depending on the OS it could be as simple as a firewall issue, their modem/router might also be set to connect on demand rather than keep the connection alive, in which case the first one doesn't go through as it's attempting to re-establish the connection, doesn't get through in the appropriate amount of time, and then the second time you try it has gone through because the connection was already established.

Just my thought on what could be causing that... One of my favourite features when dealing with wireless routers that just eat bandwidth for anything that isn't wired. (Linksys WRT310N was my mortal enemy)

The default timeout for SMTP and DNS is set for 20 seconds, try setting it to 60 seconds; it might be just enough time for the connection as Akitu mentioned.

I would try using the IP rather than the hostname to eliminate possible DNS issues.
        Hope that helps !
