    Sharp AR-M160

    Hi Guys,
I have an AR-M160 that is supposedly taking down the customer's network after a power failure. This has happened on more than 1 occasion apparently, and they reckon that they unplug the device and the network is then ok.
Anyone had any experience of this?

Never in 10+ years of networked machines have I heard of this, on any make.

It's not impossible, but highly unlikely. It should be easy enough to prove. Can you connect via crossover cable to your laptop, then maintain a network connection, print, etc.? TCP/IP, yes? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      UPDATE:
Turned out to be that the device was set to DHCP, and was picking up the server's IP address.
