Its been a while since I booted up a Blade 150, BUT -
Is it not just the same as any other OS install?
Insert the Windows XP installation CD into the Sun Blade 150. ( it does have a cd drive, yes? )
Restart the Sun Blade. Press any key to boot from CD.Press "Enter" at the Welcome screen and "F8" at the license screen.
Press "D" to delete the existing system partitions.Press "C" to create a new Windows XP partition. Select the "NTFS" file system, highlight the partition and press "Enter" to install XP.
Or am I missing something here that this would not work? How much RAM in your 150?
Blast from he past - I Used , almost exclusively , SUNSparc's etc when I worked offshore. Didn't really touch a windows machine at work in those days.
Yes, I am a nerd.
Gaming PC - check. Raspberry Pi - Check. Custom ROM on phone - check. Thick glasses - check.
Thinking this may not be possible. Windows OS's run on/support x86 processors such as those made by AMD, Intel or clones. The Sun box uses a completely different processor (Sparc) that supports a proprietary OS as well as several other open source types like Unix/Linux. From what I've read, there's a piece of hardware you can install (SunPCI card) that hosts a manipulated version of NT, but the cots (commercial, off the shelf) versions of Windows usually don't work.
This'd be a great opportunity to learn one of the *nix platforms, if you're not already familiar with them.
